Sherri Ehrlich

Director/ Voice/ Early Childhood

Honey Child Music since 1994. Sherri is a NJ certified Pre- 3rd grade teacher with numerous Early childhood music certifications. Honey Child Music has been providing quality music instruction to children since 1994. Miss Sherri is a real Pre -K -3rd grade teacher, using techniques recommended by speech and music therapists and early childhood experts to help children learn many important skills! Sherri’s 7 CD’s for children have been awarded several prestigious Awards, including, I-Parenting Media Awards, Adding Wisdom Award as well as her CD “Jelly Belly Boogaloo” recommended by “Parenting Magazine” for 3-5 year olds in their Mom tested buying guide. Sherri is a member of The National Association for Music Education and the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association. Sherri is a music specialist, TV host of her own “Miss Sherri Live Show” and teaches Early Childhood classes, music camps and Glee Club at The Middletown Arts Center, Count Basie Theater and at various locations.

I work with various different piano and vocal study programs for the perfect fit with each of my students depending upon their level of proficiency, learning goals and how they are able to learn and comprehend the various musical and technical concepts. We learn something new each week and I adapt the music to the student’s interest. Specialize in Jazz and Classical and teach all levels from beginners to advanced. BA Music Theory and Composition from Rutgers College.
MS from Montclair in Music Composition,
Jazz Studies with Kenny Baron. Composition Studies with Nicholas Rousakis, Frank Foster, Noel DaCosta. Member Music Educators National Association.

Member BMI I am an experienced lifelong pianist. I work professionally as a solo pianist, church organist, choir director, piano teacher, composer and arranger. I am experienced in most styles of music including, classical, jazz, pop, gospel, Broadway, rock. I develop an individual leaning path for each of my students so they can achieve their musical goals.
